A Robin Hood with a contemporary feel.
It’s a time of war, economic disparity and political upheaval. No, it’s not 2011. It’s 12th Century England where Robin Hood loves Maid Marian, battles Prince John and waits for the mythical white arrow.
It’s fun for the whole family with all the elements of a classic musical: colorful costumes, dance numbers and sword fights. The plot stays true to the well-known story, with some tweaks and an ending that will surprise many. This version’s emphasis is not on the rob the rich aspect of the tales. Instead, it’s on battling false rulers, high taxes and oppression while staying true to king and country.
“Robin Hood and the White Arrow” touches on important and timely themes but doesn’t press the issues or get too deep. Instead it simply succeeds at giving the audience a good time.
